Va precisato però che l’accesso gratuito riguarda solo le collezioni permanenti dei musei e non le mostre temporanee.
Un piccolo museo estremamente romantico che vi consiglio di visitare se amate l’arte del XIX secolo è, appunto, il Musée de la Vie Romantique (rue Chaptal, 9° arrondissement). Antica casa del pittore Ary Sheffer, il museo ospita una collezione di oggetti appartenuti o legati alla scrittrice George Sand. La visita val la pena soprattutto se si è in cerca di calma: il giardino fiorito di rose è davvero romantico (vedi foto di questo post).
Tra gli altri musei gratuiti, vi segnalo la casa di Balzac, il museo Cernuschi dedicato all’arte asiatica e il Petit Palais, museo delle Belle Arti parigine.
