At the beginning of the courtyard of Manufaktura there is a small door that introduces to the City Museum. Exiting from the back you can admire the garden and the Palace hosting the Museum.
The most important people in the recent history of Łódź are the pianist Artur Rubinstein and the composer Alexandre Tasman; but the room more interesting is the one dedicated to Jan Karski.
In addition to several photographs of the time, there is also a video where Karski talks about his life and when he was sent from his country to Great Britain and the USA to divulge information about the Lagers.
Also interesting is the room of Tansman, a composer who in his career met Stravinsky and Prokofiev and died in Paris. In addition to its personal effects, there are 2 screens with audio guide and the ability to listen to its most famous songs (Rapsodie hebraiques e 4 Mouvements symphoniques).
The surprises of Museum are not finished: in the opposite side there are some rooms richly decorated with imperial Style.
